The Diploma in People Skills is a comprehensive programme designed to develop a well-rounded skill set through three progressive levels. Level 1 focuses on personal skills, emphasising self-management, self-awareness, and individual growth as the foundation for professional effectiveness. Level 2 builds on this by enhancing interpersonal skills such as collaboration, relationship-building, and effective communication, preparing students to excel in diverse social and professional contexts. Level 3 shifts the focus to organisational skills, equipping learners to contribute to and lead within larger systems and structures. This structured progression ensures students are holistically prepared for success in various environments, with a balance of personal, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Progression to Level 3 requires the successful completion of the first two levels and selection through a viva voce evaluation conducted by the Department of Marketing Management in collaboration with the industry partners. For those unable to complete the full programme that leads to a Corporate Leader profile, an early exit option at the end of Level 2 awards the Advanced Certificate in Business Communication and Professional Skills. This credential positions undergraduates in a "Competency Leader profile," ready to contribute effectively in professional settings, ensuring their achievements are formally acknowledged with an industry-recognised qualification.
